Submission of the Projects
The submission address of the competition is Duyar Vanas contact address. The deadline for the project submission is 19 May 2006, Friday. Participants submit their presentation boards, project report, CD that includes the presentation boards and the project report, and an envelope that includes the project submission form.
Presentation Boards
The projects will be presented on vertical 50x70 cm boards.
The projects will be presented on a maximum of four (4) boards.
On the boards, the name of the applicants or the applicant teams must not be
written, and instead the applicants or the applicant teams must use a code name
of seven characters. On the top of the boards, a margin of 5 cm will be reserved.
On the top left of the board must be written "Duyar Valve International Valve
Design Competition". On the top right must be written the code name of seven
characters. On each board, the board number must be specified on the bottom
right.
In the project presentation must take place technical drawings (orthographic
views, sections) and perspective views describing the components and assembly.
Handwriting must not be used in any part of the boards.
Project Report
The project report must be prepared on A4 size paper. The name of the
competition and code name of applicants must take place on the cover page.
The report must be prepared on the computer. Handwriting may not be used.
On the pages of the report, the margins must be top 3 cm, bottom 2 cm, left 3 cm
and and right 2 cm.
The font of the text must be Times New Roman, size of type 12, aligned left, with
1,5 line spacing.
The project abstract of a minimum of 300 words must take place on the first page
of the report following the cover page. Duyar Vana A.ή. may use this abstract in
exhibitions and publications.
The report must not exceed four pages, excluding the project abstract and
references.
Project CD
Applicants must also submit a CD that includes digital copies of the presentation boards (JPEG and TIFF formats, 300 dpi resolution) and a digital copy of the project report. On the CD cover, the name of the competition and the code name written on the computer must take place.
Project Submission Envelope
Applicants or applicant teams must fill in the project submission form and submit it in an envelope together with the presentation boards, project report and CD. The code name of the applicant or applicant team, and "Duyar Valve International Valve Design Competition Identity Envelope" must be written on the envelope by computer, and the envelope must be sealed.
